So I’m now I’ve finished CSM training and boy , what a couple of days. I really think that anyone who is involved in the Scrum life needs to take this course. I’m not sure if this course is the same everywhere, but the class I took this week with Jean Tabaka at Rally Software in Boulder Colorado was absolutely fantastic. It all started on Wednesday when I arrived in Boulder for class along with 19 other souls who were looking for the path down the quest of Scrum.
The first day of class consisted going over our agenda, the principals of agile, and how it related to scrum. The best part of the first day was not only the instructor’s engery, but also the exercises we did in class that really brought perspective to the lessons that were being presented to us. The students in the class came from a variety of backgrounds, locations, ages, and experience levels but they all presented a different flavor that made the class great.
As we went into our 2nd day we tackled more of the in depth scrum roles, processes, and information. We hit it hard and fast, but we had some great exercises that really made sprint planning and story points come to life in a real way. Personally for me, I intend to make a longer report about this, but I wanted to give a small taste of whats coming.
